Unique Lift Assist Call
Tuesday, October 20, 2020

At 0925 on 10/20/20, Stations 2, 14 and 1 where dispatched to the 500 block of Daugherty's Run Road for a lift assist involving a horse. Squad 14 responded with a crew of 6 and met Chief 2-1 on the scene. The owner reports his 30+ year old male horse had fallen in his stall and he and his neighbors needed help getting him to his feet. The crew assisted in rotating him to a better position, placing a strap under him and after several attempts he was helped to his feet. As you can see he walked under his own power to the yard. This was a very positive outcome to a unique call!
